I find that often my utilization of the NOW is to “plan” for a better “future”. Instead of focusing upon the things in this moment which are great, miraculous and amazing, I instead focus upon the way I imagine they would/could be IF ONLY.
This is a detrimental attitude to have and one I have been working with lately.
If only I could eat well for an extended period of time, my body would be the way I think it should be.
If only I could have just one cup of coffee in the morning, I would have less of a chemical dependency upon caffeine.
If only I could find a job which fulfills me and I am passionate about, then the days would be filled with productivity and happiness.
