Heart III

How does a third grader tell you that he has something memorized?

“I know it by heart”.

Nobody ever says, “I know it by brain”.

Ever stopped to wonder why?

It’s because we absorb the useful and meaningful and impactful events, facts and skills not into our brain per say, but into our hearts.

Ever emerging research continues to show in more and more (amazing) detail, that the interfacing between heart and brain is quite profound in nature.

According to the HeartMath institute, the heart sends exponentially more signals to the brain than the other way around.

What’s more, we can show through continued practice that a heart based approach to life yields a far more open, connected and fulfilling lifestyle than remaining within our thinking mind.

“It’s all in your head”, we are told when things just don’t seem to be going right. And perhaps this statement is far more accurate than we ever could have imagined.

What would life be like if it were all in our heart?

I’m willing to find out.
