Spend some time with someone who is dying and you realize a few things.

Namely, that ALL of us are dying, and that just because someone’s death is imminent due to illness or otherwise doesn’t change the fact that they are very much alive NOW.

In truth, we would all be lucky to live as if we had a terminal diagnosis (because we do). To live is to accept the ultimate conclusion, if it is a conclusion at all.

To some, the end of this reality marks the beginning of a far more amazing journey beyond. Comically, we really don’t know the truth.

Except that when we live in the NOW, we see how faith plays in to all of this and that the bigger picture is one of understanding and connection.

Everything else is just chatter.
