When did we learn to push?

To push through fatigue.

To push through emotions.

To push through the little voice within which knows better.

We were taught that if we experience no pain, then we get no gain.

Except that this is often an express ticket to injury.

Yet we continue to push.

And we wonder why we aren’t getting better.

Not getting stronger.

Despite all the effort.

All the effort in the world cannot make a seedling grow faster.

It just happens.

In its own due time.

Given the right combination of nutrients and environment.

And so we return to the idea of cultivation.

The cultivation of an ideal environment.

We cultivate personal environments daily.

We just have to notice what it is we are encouraging to grow.
