Grist

It is easy to say that we are too tired to do the work. The work required of us in order to feel and to be and to see. Being tired is always an option but in the end we will be grateful for the work and for not having given in to the temptation to postpone that which matters most. We may be tired but the opportunities for self awareness and growth abound. It is when we are tired that the ugly parts of our personality become revealed. It is in these moments that we can harness the blessing of being tired and use it as a proving ground for our finely cultivated awareness. An awareness that sees through any frustration, angst or turmoil and recognizes it for what it is: grist for the mill of enlightenment.
